The initial activities of the project “Agro-Tourism Business Academy – SME Support System” have already begun. One of its main objectives is to support small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism and agricultural sector located at the cross-border region Bulgaria – Greece. Participants will be provided with up-to-date know-how, business environment, services and skills for human development, which will positively influence the sustainable development of the business and the achievement of the goals set. During the project the participants will receive support for the production of bio-wines of local varieties. An important strand will be the development of a bio-agro-wine tourist product and an increase in the knowledge of sommeliers and representatives of the HORECA sector. An Academy of Agrotourism will be established to facilitate long-term entrepreneurs from the cross-border region with administrative and professional support.
